Refund Policy
Last updated: 21 July 2026
This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through the MARA Prep exam preparation portal operated by PrepWise Pty Ltd ABN [INSERT ABN] (“PrepWise”, “we”, “us”). Please read this policy carefully before purchasing a subscription.
Eligibility for a refund
A full refund is available within 48 hours of purchase provided that no practice content or Learning Academy materials have been accessed during that period.
Because digital content delivery begins immediately upon account activation, refunds are not available once any practice content or Learning Academy module has been accessed, regardless of how much content was viewed.
When refunds are not available
- After 48 hours have passed since the time of purchase
- After accessing any practice questions, written-answer drills, case studies, Learning Academy modules or other content
- After your target exam month has passed — subscriptions expire at the end of the exam month regardless of usage
- On the basis of change of mind once content has been accessed
Subscription terms
Subscriptions are tied to specific Legal Training Australia exam intake months. Access to the portal expires at the end of the exam month covered by your plan, regardless of how much of the content you have used. This expiry is clearly disclosed at the time of purchase.
The Trial Access plan is a paid subscription (not a free trial) and is subject to the same 48-hour refund terms as full plans. Upgrading from Trial Access to a Capstone Ready or Complete Preparation plan does not restart the 48-hour refund window for the original Trial Access purchase — each subscription is assessed independently from the date of its own purchase.
Exceptional circumstances
Refunds may be granted at PrepWise’s sole discretion in exceptional circumstances — for example, a serious illness supported by appropriate documentation that prevented any use of the portal within the refund window. Requests on this basis will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted as soon as practicable.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits, excludes or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)), including any consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded by agreement.
